This year marks 21 years of our Community Recycling Events. We started the initiative with a small group of dedicated volunteers after recognising the need for a convenient and affordable recycling service for local communities. What began as a local initiative has grown into a national award-winning event.

Over the past 21 years, we have organised events across Meath East, collecting more than 3,263 tonnes of bulky household waste. These events have helped thousands of residents dispose of items responsibly, increased environmental awareness and reduced the amount of bulky waste dumped along roadsides, in drains and in ditches.

These 21 years of recycling would not have been possible without the dedication of our volunteers, whose hard work and generosity have been essential to the success of every event. We also acknowledge our service providers, Thornton’s Recycling and ERP, who have partnered with us since day one and whose professionalism and commitment have helped us deliver a high-quality service.
